Uncharitable action

After CoffeeHouse raised a virtual eyebrow and a few questions about the behaviour of War on Want and the Jubilee Debt Campaign, Tory MP Matthew Hancock has written to the Charity Commission asking for an investigation into their status:

“Quite apart from the issue over whether a charity should support an organisation that seeks to disrupt the operations of UK companies, I also believe that the charities’ support of UK Uncut clearly appears to breach Charity Commission guidance on political activity.”
