Anthony Albanese – No republic during my first term

Tributes to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II have continued to pour in from across the world. On the morning that her coffin begins the journey from Balmoral to Edinburgh, so that she may lie in state at St. Giles’ Cathedral, Sky News’ Cordelia Lynch sat down with the Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Albanese is known to be strongly in favour of turning Australia into a republic, but he confirmed that now was not the time for such questions:


Gordon Brown – The Queen knew more about the country than I did

On her new flagship BBC show, Laura Kuenssberg asked three former Prime Ministers for their recollections of the Queen from their time in office. Gordon Brown told Kuenssberg with enthusiasm about the Queen’s passion for the Commonwealth, including her relationship with Nelson Mandela:

On Times Radio, the journalist Gabriel Gavin told Chloe Tilley why even Russia’s president Vladimir Putin had warm words in his statement on the Queen’s death:

Speaking of Russia, Tilley went on to speak to the former British army officer Dr Mike Martin, who was withering about the Russian army, which has been pushed back considerably from its positions across Ukraine over the past few weeks:


David Cameron – Charles III will be ‘a very worthy successor’

And finally, David Cameron told Kuenssberg that he had high hopes for King Charles III:
