Live: David Cameron announces resignation after Brexit vote

David Cameron has announced he will resign as Prime Minister following the vote for Brexit. Cameron has said he will remain in his role for the next three months. 

Here are the results from overnight:

Leave 52%, Remain 48% with 382/382. Turnout 72.2%

Remain: 16,141,241;  Leave: 17,410,742
