Labour has decided that David Cameron’s slip-up on marriage tax breaks at PMQs is worth digging into for a little longer.
After Ed Balls' point of order about the Prime Minister's claim that all married couples on the basic rate of tax would benefit, Chris Leslie has sent a letter to the Prime Minister asking him to correct the record.
It does look a little odd that Labour is getting so het up about only certain people benefitting from the tax allowance when it disagrees with it in principle. But the point is that the party wants to give the impression that the Prime Minister doesn't know what he's talking about when he tries to make a decent 'retail sell' to voters.
