When it comes to snooping and surveillance, Glenn Greenwald is one of the most vocal advocates of the dangers of such services. In fact up until 2014, the anti-NSA crusader wrote a column for the Guardian on the ‘vital issues of civil rights, freedom of information and justice’.
However, today Greenwald has been accused by a former colleague of endorsing cyber-snooping. Suzanne Moore made the accusation after Greenwald tweeted a link to an article on the negative media reaction to the appointment of Jeremy Corbyn’s new head of comms Seumas Milne, the former Guardian columnist:

The article in question includes a reference to negative comments made by Moore on her private Facebook account about Milne:

However in this instance of ‘snooping’, Greenwald has no sympathy for Moore over her ‘horrible’ statement which she was ‘reckless’ to publish:

Mr S suspects it’s for the best that the pair are no longer working on the same publication.
